Felipe Pereira’s Release
Brazilian composer, vocalist and pianist Born in 1989 in Florianopolis, Santa Catarina.
Interested in music since his childhood, has participated in many choirs and started piano lessons at eight years old. Since then, has learned music and improvisation with many teachers, joined some music festivals and was the leader of a rock band from 2005 to 2007 ( FBB Band), which performed a few concerts of Progressive Rock, Hard Rock and Blues. Meanwhile produced a solo show with the soundtracks of The Phantom of the Opera, Moulin Rouge and also Disney songs.
Nowadays Felipe is researching Jazz and Brazilian Instrumental music. The main goal is to get new ideas for his composition, from Rock, Blues and Jazz to soundtracks and classical music.
The name P.G. Headway was baptised by his former English teacher. P.G. stands for Phillip Gustave ( Felipe Gustavo) and Headway is a wit mixing progress and “way through the use of the mind”. The purpose of the English name is to range not just Brazil, but also other countries.
